Requirements to potentially qualify:

  • The death certificate must attribute the death directly or indirectly to COVID-19. Certain restrictions apply depending on the date of death. Please visit FEMA’s site for more details.
  • You are a US citizen, non-citizen national, or qualified non-citizen.
  • You were responsible for eligible funeral expenses.

To apply, contact the COVID-19 Funeral Assistance Helpline at 844-684-6333 between the hours of 9:00am and 9:00pm Eastern Time.
